Standard of evidence
Formulated on biochemistry, not on marketing.
We don’t run trials on our finished product — almost no supplement honestly can. What we do instead: choose forms the body is documented to use, at doses you can read, using branded actives that have been through peer-reviewed clinical research. Here is exactly what that means, and where it stops.

The mechanism
Why a smaller plate becomes a nutrient problem.
It isn’t mysterious. It’s a supply chain with the first link cut.
01 / INTAKE
Less food in
Appetite drops sharply. Portions fall to a fraction of what they were, often for months at a time.
02 / SUPPLY
Fewer micronutrients
Vitamins and minerals arrive in food. Less food means proportionally less B12, folate, iron, zinc, and D coming in.
03 / TRANSIT
Slower digestion
Less moving through the gut can slow motility, which is why digestive comfort becomes an early, common complaint.
04 / DESIGN
What we formulate for
A dense micronutrient base in usable forms, plus digestive support — sized to the gap the first link creates.*
The forms
The form on the label decides what your body can use.
Two products can list “B12” and deliver very different things. The cheaper form has to be converted before the body can use it; the bioactive form is ready as-is. We pay for the ready forms and print them where you can check.
| Nutrient | Common cheap form | The form we use | Our dose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vitamin B12 | Cyanocobalamin — must be converted in the liver | Methylcobalamin — bioactive, better tissue retention | 525 mcg |
| Folate | Folic acid — can leave unmetabolized folic acid in circulation | L-5-MTHF — directly usable, bypasses conversion | 400 mcg DFE |
| Vitamin B6 | Pyridoxine HCl | P5P — the active coenzyme form | 26 mg |
| Iron | Ferrous sulfate — often harsh on the stomach | Ferrous bisglycinate — chelated, gentler | 18 mg |
| Zinc | Zinc oxide — poorly absorbed | Zinc bisglycinate — chelated for absorption | 20 mg |
The actives
Four ingredients chosen because the research already exists.
These are branded, standardized inputs — not generic powders. Each has been evaluated in peer-reviewed human research at the ingredient level. That research is the reason we chose them.
Multi-enzyme complex · 5 enzymes
A standardized blend of amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase, and lactase that supports the breakdown of what you do eat.*
Evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (J. Medicinal Food). Sabinsa.
B. coagulans MTCC 5856 · 6B CFU
A shelf-stable spore-forming probiotic strain that survives to the gut, used to support a balanced microbiome.*
Strain studied in peer-reviewed GI research (Majeed et al., Int. J. Food Sci. Technol., 2018, and others).
Standardized to 5% gingerols
Ginger standardized to a measured level of gingerols — the compounds the research actually quantifies — for everyday stomach comfort.*
Gingerols are the standardized, measured actives; standardization is what makes a dose reproducible.
Standardized piperine · 5 mg
A standardized black-pepper extract included to support the bioavailability of the nutrients alongside it.*
Sabinsa’s patented, clinically studied piperine extract for absorption support.
Where the evidence stops
The honest part most brands skip.
What the research covers
- The bioactive and chelated forms are documented as usable by the body
- The branded actives have peer-reviewed clinical research at the ingredient level
- Every dose is disclosed, so you can compare it against that research yourself
- Manufacturing is in a cGMP, FDA-registered facility
What it does not cover
- We have not run a clinical trial on this finished formula — and we won’t claim we have
- Ingredient research is not a promise about your individual result
- Nothing here diagnoses, treats, or is a substitute for medical care
- This is a dietary supplement, held to structure/function standards — not a drug
